"Gallipoli: More Than a Place, A Journey Through History!

This tour takes you on an immersive journey through the battlefields, trenches, and memorials that shaped one of the most significant campaigns of World War I. As we explore key locations of the Gallipoli Campaign, we will uncover the heroic stories of the soldiers who fought here and the lasting impact of their bravery.

Our journey begins in Çanakkale, where we take a ferry across the Dardanelles to the Gallipoli Peninsula, just as the soldiers did over a century ago. The tour follows the footsteps of ANZAC and Ottoman troops, visiting Brighton Beach, the intended landing site of the ANZAC forces, and Beach Cemetery, where John Simpson, the legendary "Man with the Donkey," is buried.

We continue to ANZAC Cove, where the first ANZAC troops landed at dawn on April 25, 1915. As we walk along the shoreline, we reflect on the challenges they faced and the fierce battles that took place on these very grounds. Nearby, Arıburnu Cemetery and the ANZAC Commemorative Site pay tribute to the thousands who sacrificed their lives.

Moving inland, we visit the Respect to Mehmetçik Statue, a symbol of the courage and humanity shown by Turkish and ANZAC soldiers alike. We then explore Lone Pine Cemetery, the site of a devastating battle where Australian forces launched a major attack against Ottoman defenders.

Next, we walk through Johnston's Jolly, where preserved trenches and tunnels give us a glimpse into the brutal realities of trench warfare. The Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery honors the Ottoman soldiers who fought with extraordinary valor under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s command.

We then ascend to The Nek, the site of a tragic charge made famous in the film Gallipoli, before reaching Chunuk Bair, the highest point captured by ANZAC forces during the campaign. This site holds great significance for New Zealanders, as it is where they briefly gained control before being pushed back by Ottoman forces.

As the tour concludes, we reflect on the enduring legacy of Gallipoli—how it shaped national identities, inspired stories of heroism, and became a powerful symbol of remembrance and reconciliation.

Join us on this unforgettable journey through history, where every step tells a story of sacrifice, courage, and resilience.
